Top 10 Tuesday: Rewind (Choose From Past Topics)

So it's Tuesday which means it's time for another Top 10 Tuesday hosted by the ladies over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week is focused on a topic from the past that bloggers could choose so I decided to go with my top 10 (more like 7) intimidating reads. I hope you enjoy!!

War & Peace by Leo Tolstoy: Yes I did Read Anna Karenina; however, Russian literature will always prove to be intimidating to me.

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. Over a thousand pages of beautiful French literature, but the page count is some serious. It's intimidating.

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. I love Brandon Sanderson, but this is an epic high fantasy series I have to mentally prepare myself for.

Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. I have never been a fan of stream of consciousness so this novel would be difficult for me to follow.

The Discworld Series by Terry Pratchett. It's not so much the content of the books as the length of the series that is intimidating. Over 40 books! That's a serious commitment.

The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton. It's just a huge book and I've tried to read it before and was completely unsuccessful.

Don Quixote by Miguel De Cervantes. Must I even add a description for this one?

  1. I love Sanderson, but haven't started that series yet since it will be so long before it is complete. I am tackling Discworld by treating it as a bunch of separate series (I do want to mention that they get much better as they go along). My favorites are the first 3 Tiffany Aching books & Going Postal

    2. Here is a reading order chart that show the various series (there were a couple of final books that aren't on it). As I said, my favorite are the Tiffany books, and for those you start with Wee Free men.
