Bookishrealm Reviews & Film #3

Happy Saturday everyone! We're coming to the close of the first week of the new year! I hope everyone has had a fun and productive week. Mine has been kind of chaotic and I'm desperately trying to get back into the swing of things. Let's hope that I get adjusted sooner than later.

Movies

Sing. So I've seen Sing before. It was actually my third or fourth time watching it and I must say the more I watch it the more it begins to grow on me. I already have a full written review of it so you can check that out here. Victoria and Abdul. This movie was extremely interesting. I watched the Masterpiece adaption of Victoria's life early last year and loved so I was really interested in learning more about her in her later years plus I'm a huge fan of Judi Dench. The film was truly heartbreaking and it hurt to see how Victoria's family disliked the relationship between Victoria and Abdul simply because he was from India. I'm really interested in learning more about the relationship between them and also the relationship that England had with India.

TV Shows

Clearly I've been watching more TV shows than movies. The Flinstones is one that I've been wanting to see for a while. I know that the cover of that image says season four; however, I'm watching the second season. In addition to the Flinstones I've really been into watching The Jetsons. This is a TV show that I think is way before it's time. It's amazing and funny. I almost forgot about all of the amazing shows that Hanna Barbera used to put out in the 60s and 70s. If you haven't had the opportunity to watch either of these shows I would definitely do it soon.

The Afterlife. This show is creepy! I didn't think it was going to be that creepy, but it definitely is and I'm really enjoying it. I'm still making my way through the first season, but it is all about this lady who is able to see and talk to spirits that need her help for closure. It's not overly gruesome, but it has the right amount of elements to make you a little frightened. Reign. Okay this is one show that I started last year, but actually didn't get to finish it and it's the last and final season of Reign. I already know what is going to happen historically, but I'm excited to see how the CW allows everything to play out.

Okay that's it everyone! What have you been watching lately??
